In a spectacular start to the New Year, IBM has further cemented its place as a leader in mobility solutions by taking home six of the 2017 AOTMP Mobility Awards at CES 2017. IBM GTS won the award for Systems Integration, while IBM Watson IoT was recognized as the Innovative IoT Technology of the Year. IBM Bluemix and IBM Watson IoT won the award for IoT Application Development Platform. The awards for Mobile Asset Lifecycle and Recycling/Disposal/EOL went to IBM Global Asset Recovery Services, and IBM Watson Analytics was honored with the Software award.

The 2017 AOTMP Mobility Awards honor the most innovative and revolutionary mobile and wireless solutions on the market today. The 73 awards were divided into 16 categories, including everything from managed mobility services and IoT to development platforms and smartphones, among others. Award nominations are submitted by companies and consumers alike. Winners are chosen by over 80 mobile industry journalists and analysts based on specific product/solution-based criteria.

The extensive scope of the 2017 AOTMP Mobility Awards underscores how mobile capabilities have become mainstream – both as the face of enterprise digital transformation projects as well as the preferred way that consumers interact with their favorite brands. Mobile apps also form an integral part of innovative new IoT offerings – many of which were previewed at CES this week.
